Event Information

The Team Amy Run is a non-profit event created by Amy's family and friends to raise money for local individuals and families in need. The event consists of a 5k, 1 mile walk/talk & a children's 1 Mile fun run. Please click on the “Amy’s Story” tab to read about the amazing girl who inspired this event.

Downtown Estherville, IA located East of the Library. The run will start and finish at 21 North 7th Street in Estherville, IA.

The event is held annually on the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend. Event times are as follows: 8:45 - 1 mile children's fun run 9:00 - 5k 1 mile walk/talk.

Pre-registration for the 5k, or 1 mile walk/talk is $25 per person, & the 1 mile children’s fun run is $15 per person. A t-shirt is included with each pre-registration. If you register after the pre-registration deadline the cost is $30 for the 5k, and 1 mile walk/talk & $20 for the 1 mile children’s fun run. These registrations will not be guaranteed a t-shirt as quantities and sizes will be limited. Children's t-shirts will only be provided to those who pre-register as there will be no extras.

There will be timing chips given to all runners in the 5k to keep track of your times.

Awards will be given to the top female runner and top male runner in the 5k runs. Also, all children 12 years old and under who participate will receive a children’s medal, and we will recognize the top 3 runners in the 1 mile children’s run.

There will be water stations periodically placed throughout the run route. There will also be fruit and bagels available prior to, as well as after, the race.
